David Cummins, President Trump’s pick to lead the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), will testify Thursday morning before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation.

The confirmation hearing comes as the TSA has faced a series of challenges, including recovering from a monthslong Department of Homeland Security funding lapse that disrupted payroll, strained staffing and contributed to long security lines at airports.

If confirmed, Cummins will replace acting chief Ha Nguyen McNeill.

The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EDT.
