House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) and Democratic leaders will speak with reporters Thursday morning to outline the party’s accomplishments and goals as the midterms loom.

Since this congressional term began, lawmakers on the left have focused much of their efforts on combatting President Trump’s crackdown on immigration, economic agenda as affordability concerns rise and the ongoing conflict with Iran. The House earlier Thursday passed a Democratic-backed war powers resolution aimed at limiting the president’s military action against Tehran.

The press conference is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. EDT.
