Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is set to unveil the new Donald J. Trump Bridge in East Tennessee on Thursday afternoon.
The ceremony comes the same day the airport in Palm Springs, Fla., is set to take on President Trump’s name. Controversy and backlash have followed other efforts to add the president’s likeness to buildings, including the Institute of Peace and Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington.
The Trump administration has also recently teased new currency that will bear Trump’s signature.
Bessent will be joined by other Volunteer State officials.
The event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. EDT.
