‘Tulsa King’ Season 4 Trailer, Premiere Date Revealed as Showrunner Changes Yet Again

Tulsa King is coming back for its fourth season.

Paramount+ released the teaser trailer (below), and announced the premiere date and synopsis for the new season of the hit crime dramedy, which stars Sylvester Stallone as an Oklahoma mobster.

“I’m not ready to fold,” drawls Stallone in the trailer. “You can’t get rid of me.”

The behind-the-scenes turnover also continues with original showrunner Terence Winter returning yet again as head writer and executive producer. Winter’s return follows the exit of season three showrunner Dave Erickson, a veteran of creator Taylor Sheridan‘s Mayor of Kingstown, who reportedly left the series after creatively conflicting with Stallone on the direction of the show.

Winter (The Wolf of Wall Street) has a long history with the show, having developed the series and served as showrunner the first season. Sheridan and Winter reportedly clashed on the show’s initial creative direction, and Winter stepped aside. During season two, Winter came back as head writer while Craig Zisk served as the on-set showrunner. Then Erickson took over as showrunner season three.

Season four premieres on Friday, Oct. 16 on Paramount+, with Gretchen Mol (Boardwalk Empire) joining the cast as a series regular.

From the official description: “Dwight (Stallone) fights to legitimize his empire and protect his crew as corrupt politicians, dangerous new enemies, and a crushing personal loss hit from every direction. However, every hard-won gain comes with even harder truths: about loyalty, leadership and the cost of ambition. Each move drags Dwight deeper into the street instincts he left behind in New York – turning Tulsa into a battleground and Dwight into the one threat no one can afford to underestimate.”

In addition to Stallone, Tulsa King stars Martin Starr, Jay Will, Vincent Piazza, Annabella Sciorra, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Frank Grillo, Mike “Cash Flo” Walden, James Russo, Kevin Pollak, Neal McDonough, with Garrett Hedlund and Dana Delany.

The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.
