President Trump’s name has been removed from the Kennedy Center, according to new photos.

In a Monday night report from The Washington Post, the outlet featured photos it reported were from the previous week and obtained from an activist group named Hands Off the Arts. The photos show that an area on the building where Trump’s name once was is now blank.

Earlier this month, workers took Trump’s name off the exterior of the Kennedy Center on a court-ordered deadline. An appeals court had shot down a last-ditch effort from the center to stop the removal a day before.

During his second term, Trump has notably turned his attention to the Kennedy Center. He ousted its leadership and replaced it with a board of trustees that nominated him as chair. The board renamed the center, adding his name, and changed the venue’s signage and website. The president has also pressed for a two-year closure of the Kennedy Center for renovations.

Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-Ohio), also an ex-officio board member, sued to stop the renaming of the Kennedy Center, as well as its closure.

“Today’s victory is the beginning of returning the Kennedy Center to the American people,” Beatty said in a statement earlier this month celebrating the removal of Trump’s name.

“The rule of law prevailed, and that is worth celebrating,” she continued. “Let this send a message across the country: when we stand up, fight back, and defend our democracy, we can win. This is just the beginning.”

Trump’s name is also now off the center’s website.
