(NewsNation) — Attorneys for social media influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate will be in a Miami courtroom Monday, fighting extradition efforts that could send the brothers back to the United Kingdom to face a series of charges, including rape.
The brothers aren’t expected to attend the hearing, which will address scheduling for a bond hearing, filing deadlines, and a formal extradition hearing.
Federal police arrested the brothers, who hold dual U.S. and U.K. citizenship, in Miami on July 18 using sealed warrants connected to Britain’s request to extradite them for trial.
In Britain, seven women have accused the former professional kickboxers of rape, assault, human trafficking and controlling prostitution for profit. The events allegedly happened from 2010 through 2017.

The Tates became powerful voices in the online “manosphere,” part of a hyper-masculine media ecosystem that promotes wealth and misogyny. The brothers also helped mobilize young men for President Donald Trump during his last presidential campaign.
The brothers have also claimed connections to members of Trump’s orbit and have won public support from prominent MAGA figures.
However, the White House has said they won’t receive help from the president in avoiding extradition.
The Tates are being held in a federal detention center in Miami.
