NBC/SNL Saturday Night Live marked the safe return to Earth of NASA‘s Artemis II crew by imagining one astronaut’s attempt at a sober video message that gets disrupted by his very unserious colleagues.
SNL host Colman Domingo plays pilot Victor Glover, whose video log on the ninth day of the ten-day journey around the Moon begins with him showing Earth through the window of the ship.
“Seeing our planet like this is pretty profound,” he says. “Being a man of faith, this has certainly brought me closer to God.”
But the first of many distractions soon floats into view: a red Pringles can.
“Oh come on, guys!” he exclaims. “You’ve got to velcro your snacks to the wall.”
Astronauts Reid and Hansen (Marcello Hernandez, Mikey Day), who are “kinda bored,” fight over the food.

Moments later, Glover’s attempt to read a quote from Apollo astronaut Jim Lovell gets interrupted by Reid flaunting his Canadian flag, while astronaut Christina (Sarah Sherman) floats on by, sleeping and snoring.
After Glover pushes her out of the way, Reid and Hansen return for a game of “no hands hat.”
Glover doesn’t get through his quotation of Sally Ride, either, as Christina—still sleeping—comes into frame, now with Sharpie scrawled on her face by Reid and Hansen.
Reid then comes to Glover with a problem.
“Hey Victor, my pee pee’s stuck in the tube again!” he says anxiously, holding the device. “You’ve got to get it off me, Victor, please!”
Victor is exasperated at this point.
