Sherri Shepherd is stepping back into the spotlight this weekend with a new film that tells the true story of a 9/11 survivor.
The actress stars in “Angel in the Rubble: The Genelle Guzman Story,” which premieres on Lifetime this Saturday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. Executive produced by Shepherd, along with Robin Roberts, Linda Berman and Anne Carlucci, the film recounts the survival story of Genelle Guzman (Shepherd), a New York City transit worker who was buried beneath the North Tower after it collapsed on Sept. 11, 2001.
