England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt says her recovery is "going to plan" but she is yet to return to bowling following a calf injury.
Sciver-Brunt, 33, sat out this month's 50-over and T20 matches against New Zealand because of the issue and will also miss the three T20s against India which start on Thursday.
The talismanic all-rounder has been batting in the nets and has been cleared to run for the first time.
England play Sri Lanka in the first match of the T20 World Cup at Edgbaston on 12 June.
"Now is the time to start pushing on," Sciver-Brunt told the Stumped podcast.
"Everything is sort of going to plan as far as it can do at the moment.
"It's been really frustrating watching from the sidelines and not being able to help and feel like I'm missing out a little bit."
Sciver-Brunt is crucial to England's hopes at the home World Cup - for her playing ability, leadership and the balance she gives to the side as an all-rounder.
England have maintained throughout they are not concerned and are merely taking a cautious approach with her recovery. They still hope she will play a full part in the World Cup.
Sciver-Brunt suffered the injury, described as a "minor tear", playing for Blaze on 29 April and was initially only ruled out of the three one-day internationals against New Zealand.
A further scan on 18 May ruled her out of the T20s against the White Ferns and India because it was deemed the issue required a "longer period of rehabilitation".
After the India series concludes on Tuesday, England have warm-ups against Australia and India on 8 and 10 June respectively.
"All of the plans that we've been putting together to get me back on track is ending with that first game in mind," Sciver-Brunt said.
"We've got a couple of warm-up games beforehand to practise my skills in as well.
"It's going to plan thus far."
