(NewsNation) — Rosie O’Donnell is returning to “The View” for its landmark 30th season, but only as a guest.

The comedian revealed the news on “The Tangle” podcast, according to Entertainment Weekly.

“I will go on the 30th anniversary next (season),” O’Donnell said, continuing, “in whatever way they want me.”

The Emmy Award-winning former talk show host said that she and the other previous hosts will be brought back for the show’s upcoming season as guests to celebrate season 30.

“And you know, I’m pretty proud of that show, what it’s become and how it really speaks to the people and to politics,” O’Donnell said on the podcast, adding that it wasn’t the case when she joined the show in 2006.

“Many, many people got the short end of the stick there. It was, you know, it was a factory where people were being churned in and out and their tenuous security; nobody got to be calm,” she continued. “It also was a show at the time that was run by a man.”

“A show created by a woman, for women, about women, and the man was deciding what we should talk about,” the comedian added. “And that didn’t sit right with me, you know.”

O’Donnell was tapped as the moderator of “The View” in 2006, where she was openly critical of the war in Iraq, then-President George W. Bush and a pre-presidency Donald Trump — now the two have been in a decades-long feud.

She left the show after one season in 2007 following a huge on-air fight with former Republican co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

She rejoined the show in 2014 and left months later in 2015.
