Reform UK has named its candidate to stand the Makerfield by-election.

Robert Kenyon, a self-employed plumber, has been confirmed as Reform's official candidate for the upcoming contest in in Greater Manchester.

Kenyon stood in the constituency in the 2024 general election, and came second to Labour's Josh Simons.

The by-election comes after Simons stepped down as MP to allow Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham an opportunity to contest the seat.
