The 2026 ToruńCamerimage Film Festival has unveiled its official program, bringing together some of this year’s top Hollywood and international awards contenders.

The 34th edition of the festival, which awards the Golden Frog for outstanding cinematography, runs Nov. 7-14 in Toruń, Poland. The main competition comprises 15 films, selected for the contribution their visual storytelling makes to the cinematic experience.

Among the high-profile contenders are Project Hail Mary, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and shot by Greig Fraser; Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day, with cinematography by Janusz Kamiński; and Martin McDonagh’s Wild Horse Nine, shot by Ben Davis. The selection also includes Tony Gilroy’s Behemoth!, photographed by Damián García, and Minotaur, the latest film from Russian director Andrey Zvyagintsev, shot by longtime collaborator Mikhail Krichman, and May el-Toukhy’s Venice Film Festival winner Woman Unknown from cinematographer Jasper J. Spanning

The lineup reflects the festival’s international reach, with films from established auteurs alongside studio productions. Other main competition titles include Paweł Pawlikowski’s Fatherland, shot by Łukasz Żal; Hans Petter Moland’s Growth of the Soil, photographed by Oskar Dahlsbakken; and Visitation, directed by Volker Schlöndorff and shot by Axel Schneppat.

The wider festival program extends beyond the main competition. Cristian Mungiu’s Fjord, photographed by Tudor Vladimir Panduru, winner of this year’s Palme d’Or in Cannes, is among the special screenings, alongside Netflix’s international award contender Possible Love, directed by Lee Chang-dong and shot by Kim Ji-yong. The documentary program includes NAZA, directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, with cinematography by Szor, which won a Special Jury prize in Venice.

Now in its 34th year, Camerimage is dedicated to the artistic contribution of cinematographers, bringing directors of photography and filmmakers together to discuss and celebrate the craft behind the moving image.
