Storm Boelo will continue to batter parts of the UK on Sunday but the fierce autumn weather shows no sign of clearing quickly.
After two named storms in as many days, more wet and potentially very windy weather is forecast to sweep across much of the country on Monday and Tuesday.
A severe amber wind warning for Storm Boelo remains in force until Sunday evening for much of Scotland and parts of northern England. A second one in Northern Ireland expired on Sunday morning.
As the storm clears yet another area of low pressure is expected to move in from the Atlantic, although it remains uncertain whether that system will be strong enough to be named.
However, conditions could become drier and more settled later in the week as high pressure builds.

Two days and two named storms
The UK has been hit by its first two named storms of the season, and they came within a day of each other. Storm Austen brought winds of more than 75mph on Friday, felling trees, disrupting travel and leaving some homes without power.
Storm Boelo is bringing further strong winds and heavy rain this weekend, with amber warnings in force from Saturday evening into Sunday across much of Scotland, parts of Northern Ireland and the far north of England.
Gusts could reach 80mph in exposed areas, with further travel disruption, power cuts and localised flooding possible.
There are also widespread yellow warnings for wind and rain in force across many areas of the UK on Sunday. The latest warnings are available on the BBC Weather website.

The unsettled weather is set to continue into the start of the week, although conditions should be less severe than those seen across the country since Friday.
Another area of low pressure is expected to deepen as it approaches the UK from the south-west, bringing a further spell of heavy rain and potentially strong winds to much of the country on Monday and into Tuesday.
Rain is expected to develop from the west, with some areas potentially seeing heavy and persistent downpours. Combined with strong winds, this could lead to further travel disruption and difficult conditions, particularly in exposed coastal areas.
As with Storm Boelo, northern parts of the UK are likely to see the strongest winds and greatest impacts as Tuesday approaches. A yellow warning for wind is in place across Scotland, parts of Northern Ireland and northern England from 03:00 on Tuesday until midnight.
However, uncertainty remains over the strength and exact track of the developing low-pressure system, meaning the areas likely to experience the most severe conditions could change as the forecast evolves.
It is also not yet clear whether the system will be strong enough to be named as another storm.

Further ahead
Later in the week, the weather looks set to improve for many as high pressure builds over the near continent.
That would bring more settled conditions to much of the UK, with drier and calmer weather offering a respite from the recent run of storms and unsettled weather.
