Getty Images “Married at First Sight” U.K. has been canceled following allegations of sexual assault on the show, broadcaster Channel 4 confirmed today.
Based on an Australian format, the series sees experts match two single strangers who meet for the first time on their wedding day before immediately moving in together.
Earlier this year a BBC investigation by documentary strand “Panorama” alleged there had been three instances of sexual assault during the U.K. version of the series, which is produced for Channel 4 by production company CPL. One man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of rape. All the men accused have denied the allegations.
