The November midterm elections are shaping up to be a tense and tight battle for control of Congress after Maine Democrats chose their nominee to face off against vulnerable incumbent Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine).
Former state Senate President Troy Jackson on Saturday formally clinched the Democratic nod to take on Collins, giving the party just 100 days to quickly turn the tides in the must-win race.

President Trump does not have an event on his Sunday public schedule, but late Saturday he reiterated his push for GOP senators to “terminate the filibuster” in an effort to pass the SAVE America Act “before it’s too late.”
