Kelly Rowland says she’s rooting for Katseye as the girl group kicks off its 2026 World Tour without two of its original members.
Katseye took to the stage for opening night of their Wildworld Tour this week as a foursome, with group leader Sophia Laforteza noticeably absent after announcing a hiatus in August to focus on her mental health. Her (presumed temporary) departure came six months after Manon Bannerman announced that she was stepping away from the group for similar reasons.
Rowland tells Rolling Stone she sympathizes with the Katseye members, especially as they navigate their rapid rise to fame. “In an industry as fast-paced as music, where there are constantly eyes on you and pressure to keep rising, your health is one of the most sacred things you have,” Rowland says. “I learned during my time in Destiny’s Child that you can show up for your fans and your group while still honoring what you need as an individual.”
“My advice to the Katseye girls would be to listen to themselves, be kind to themselves, and continue supporting one another through every season,” the “Motivation” singer offers. “Especially on tour, it’s so important to intentionally carve out time to rest and reset in their daily routines. Taking care of your mind and body is what allows you to bounce back, stay resilient, and keep doing what you love.”

But the singer says that experience also taught her to prioritize moments away from the group for self-care. It’s part of what drew Rowland to her new partnership with OLAY, which spotlights the OLAY Super Collection, a lineup of “high-performing, multi-benefit skincare products designed to help skin bounce back from life’s busiest days.”

“Between work and my family, life can get so busy, so self-care for me is about finding small moments to pour back into myself,” Rowland says. “On my busiest mornings, I need skincare that works hard without adding extra time to my routine.”
The OLAY Super Collection is available now on sites like Amazon and Walmart. Rowland says her hero product is the OLAY Super Serum, which “has become one of those products I can count on in my daily routine.”

Other must-have products in the collection for Rowland are the Super Serum Body Wash in the shower, followed by the Super Body Lotion and Super Body Oil “to lock in moisture,” she shares. “They leave my skin instantly luminous and turn a simple step in my routine into a little moment of luxury.”
Rowland has long used her platform to promote self-love and positivity, dating back to her debut solo single, “Stole,” which celebrates its 24th anniversary this month. The song, about the fragility of youth and not wasting your potential, was followed a few years later by the David Guetta collab (and now queer anthem) “When Love Takes Over,” which became a Number One hit worldwide.
Though a press release for the OLAY campaign teases “new solo music on the horizon,” don’t expect Rowland to be rushing anything out. As she says in an Instagram video promoting her partnership, “the best things truly stand the test of time.”

“OLAY’s always been in my life,” she tells Rolling Stone. “I remember my great-aunts moisturized their beautiful skin with it, so this partnership felt very full-circle, because that was one of my first experiences with self-care, and now OLAY is an integral part of mine.”
