Outlander: Blood of my Blood season one introduced viewers to the two different, “but equally passionate,” love stories of Claire’s (Caitríona Balfe) and Jamie’s (Sam Heughan) respective parents as “they met and fought to be together against all odds,” per Starz’s logline.
Season one started with Henry (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia (Hermione Corfield) Beauchamp tripping back in time, lost and separated in the highlands of 18th century Scotland. By the end, the two finally reunited at the standing stones of Craigh na Dun, hoping to return to their own time and to baby Claire. It worked for Julia; Henry’s situation is a whole ‘nother story.

In addition to our two new pairs of lovebirds, Outlander: Blood of my Blood also stars Tony Curran as Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat; Séamus McLean Ross as Colum MacKenzie; Sam Retford as Dougal MacKenzie; Rory Alexander as Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser; and Conor MacNeill as Ned Gowan.
Matthew B. Roberts is the showrunner for both Outlander and Outlander: Blood of my Blood. He executive produces the prequel series along with Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, Toni Graphia, Luke Schelhaas, Michael Wilson, Jim Kohlberg and Luke Parker Bowles. Outlander: Blood of my Blood is produced by Sony Pictures Television.
