(NewsNation) — Flaunt MagSafe Battery Chargers are being recalled due to burn and fire risks.

The company has received five reports of the small portable lithium-ion chargers overheating and catching fire. At least two people were burned by the products, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recalled product was model number E33A, which can be found on the back. It has “FLAUNT” engraved on the front right side, and there’s a small circular button on the front. The chargers measure 3 by 2 by 0.25 inches, weigh around 3.2 ounces and come in melon, black, lavender and white. They were sold on flauntcases.com between May 2024 and April 2025.

Anyone with the product is asked to stop using it immediately and contact Flaunt for a full refund.

It is also noted the chargers shouldn’t be disposed of in the trash, recycling, or used battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores. Due to the higher risk of fire, they must be disposed of at a municipal household hazardous waste collection center.

Similar recalled power banks caused death, serious injuries

A similar recall of Casely Wireless Portable Power Banks happened in April 2025. Just like the Flaunt, they were found to overheat and ignite.

A 75-year-old New Jersey woman died after her charger caught fire and exploded while it was on her lap. She received second- and third-degree burns and later died of complications related to her injuries.

Another recalled Casely charger caught fire and exploded while a traveler was charging her phone aboard a plane. She had first-degree burns from the incident, the CPSC said.
