Macall Polay Disney’s “The Devil Wears Prada 2” debuted at No. 1 at the U.K. and Ireland box office with £9.3 million ($12.6 million), according to Comscore.
Universal’s “Michael” moved to second place in its second weekend, adding $9.4 million for a cumulative $31.2 million. The studio also held third place with “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie,” which grossed $1.3 million in its fifth frame, bringing its total to $48.1 million.
Black Bear’s horror title “Hokum” was the highest new entry in fourth place with $847,000, while “Project Hail Mary,” distributed by Sony followed in fifth with $784,000, lifting its cumulative to $44.6 million.

Among further new entries, Empyral Entertainments’ “Patriots” debuted in sixth place with $398,000. Entertainment Film Distributors’ “The Magic Faraway Tree” continued its run in seventh with $365,000, bringing its total to $19.29 million. The distributor also had “The Drama” in eighth, which added $299,000 for a cumulative $13.2 million.
Warner Bros.’ “Lee Cronin’s The Mummy” ranked ninth with $171,000, reaching $2.9 million, while Trafalgar Releasing’s “Eugene Onegin – Met Opera 2026 (Opera)” rounded out the top 10 with $108,000.
Looking ahead, Warner Bros.’ “Mortal Kombat II” is launching wide across 300 locations, while Sony is releasing “The Sheep Detectives,” also rolling out broadly. Paramount adds event feature “Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour” across 300 sites.
Universal brings music documentary “Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition” to more than 100 locations, while Studiocanal marks the 40th anniversary reissue of “Highlander.” Park Circus adds a 25th anniversary re-release of “A.I. Artificial Intelligence,” directed by Steven Spielberg.
The specialty and international market includes MetFilm Distribution’s “Our Land,” Curzon’s “Romeria,” and Vue Lumière’s “Kokuho.” Mubi releases “Abouna,” while Altitude brings back “David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet.”
