Courtesy of HBO Bill Maher learned that when it comes to Donald Trump, no good deed goes unpunished.
On last week’s episode of “Real Time with Bill Maher,” the political pundit defended his recent White House dinner with the president, exclaiming, “You know what? Fuck you. I like these dinners,” before conducting an embarrassingly chummy interview with Trump’s former press secretary, Karoline Leavitt. Despite all his brown-nosing, Trump lashed out at Maher in a 1,300-word Truth Social tirade Sunday night, calling the comic a “complete and total loser” and “major POTHEAD” who “looked like hell” during their dinner this month, where they were joined by ESPN pundit Stephen A. Smith and former rapper Kid Rock. Trump also claimed that Maher had begged him for years to go on his HBO show, but he “will never watch it again, because it is nothing more than FAKE NEWS that America, and the World, is unfortunately subjected to.”
