Reed Morano; Getty Images Tim Robbins and Giancarlo Esposito are set for guest star roles in the new Monsterverse series in the works at Apple TV, Variety has learned.
Robbins and Esposito will appear opposite series lead Wyatt Russell and previously announced cast members Millie Brady, Pilou Asbaek, Corey Stoll, Ralph Ineson, Nyasha Hatendi, Connie Nielsen and Stana Katic.
The series will again see Russell play a young Col. Lee Shaw, whom he plays in “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.” The logline for the spinoff states that Shaw is “an American operative who in 1984 went on a secret mission behind enemy lines in an attempt to stop the Soviets from unleashing a horrific new Titan big enough to destroy the U.S. and turn the tide of the Cold War.”
