Wrexham are closing in on a deadline day deal for Sheffield United midfielder Callum O'Hare.
O'Hare is set to undergo a medical at the north Wales club with a view to completing a permanent move worth around £6.5m.
Blades boss Chris Wilder confirmed on Monday the north Wales club had made a move for the attacking midfielder.
Wrexham will now aim to complete the deal before the 23:00 BST deadline.
Red Dragons boss Phil Parkinson has been eager to add attacking options to his squad with the club linked to a number of moves, including Millwall's Femi Azeez.
Wilder had accused Wrexham of a "blanket bombing" approach to the final stages of the summer window.
"This is not a criticism, but Wrexham are in for half the division," Wilder said in his press conference ahead of his side's home Championship fixture with Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday (19:45 BST).
But Wrexham will now look to finalise the deal for the former Aston Villa, Carlisle United and Coventry City attacker, who still had two years left to run on his deal at Bramall Lane.
O'Hare had featured in all of Sheffield United's games so far this season, scoring in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Cardiff City.

O'Hare would become the seventh new signing of the summer for Wrexham who completed a deal for Burnley centre-back Joe Worrall early on deadline day.
The Red Dragons have signed goalkeeper Anthony Patterson, wing-backs Danny Imray, Issa Kabore and Jacques Ekomie and central midfielder Ben Whiteman so far.
Wrexham will also look to trim their squad having already seen 10-cap England international Conor Coady leave by mutual consent.
Coady had not featured in any of Wrexham's four matchday squads this season.
Elliot Lee, Harry Ashfield and Aaron James are among those who could leave Wrexham either on loan or permanently on deadline day.
Parkinson's side return to Championship action at Millwall on Wednesday night (19:45 BST).
