The event, taking place at the Beverly Hilton on Nov. 5, recognizes those who are driving gender equity across the industry, while also serving as WIF’s largest fundraiser of the year.
Abdy, co-chair and CEO of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, will receive the inaugural Vanguard Award, a recognition for a leader whose career embodies the qualities that move the industry forward. The honor will be presented by Nancy Meyers, who is currently working on a new movie for Warner Bros.

Hayek Pinault will be presented with the Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award by Fonda herself, recognizing the star for both her filmography and her advocacy for the rights of women, children and immigrants. Arjona will receive the WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award for her rising star status — following this year’s Onslaught and ahead of 2027’s The Thomas Crown Affair — and Chan and de Araújo will get the Crystal Award for Advocacy in Film for their collaboration on Josephine.
“The 2026 honorees exemplify what WIF stands for: visionary work, fierce community and lifting up the next generation,” WIF CEO Kirsten Schaffer said in a statement. “At a time when our Reframe research reveals a sobering backslide for women and nonbinary people in this industry, it is vital to celebrate leaders committed to transformation. Pamela Abdy, Beth de Araújo, Adria Arjona, Gemma Chan and Salma Hayek bring indelible stories to the screen, while actively building a more inclusive culture.”
Added WIF Honors co-chairs Victoria Alonso and Andrea Nelson Meigs, “We are proud of this slate of honorees, especially Pam Abdy, whose fearless advocacy for storytellers has helped shape the films that define our industry. We’re equally proud to honor Adria, Salma, Gemma and Beth, women of color in an industry where they remain underrepresented both on and off screen. All of these women deserve recognition, and we can’t wait to celebrate them this November.”
