Now that the psychedelic dust has settled on Phish’s epic Sphere run, it’s time for the checkerboard to come out. No Doubt‘s eagerly anticipated Sphere residency kicks off this week — the band was originally set to perform a total of 12 dates through May, but they added six new dates in June due to demand.
The Gwen Stefani-fronted band split in 2015, only reuniting twice in the last decade. They got together at Coachella in 2024 for a set featuring Olivia Rodrigo, and the SoCal natives performed in 2025 for FireAid, benefitting Los Angeles following the region’s devastating fires.

The reunion shows at the Sphere will mark the first time a female-fronted band headlines the Sphere. Other artists who have headlined the innovative venue include U2, Dead & Company, and the Eagles, while upcoming acts include Carín León, Metallica, and Backstreet Boys.
“There’s nothing like it in terms of sound and visuals,” No Doubt’s drummer Adrian Young said of the Sphere in an interview with Rolling Stone. “And it lets you really lean into themes, and we’re going to go there. I don’t usually hype things up like that, but this is going to be very different. And yeah, it’s going to be kick-ass.”
The band are working with director and producer Baz Halpin on the show’s visuals, who previously told Rolling Stone, “This will be a journey through the most important moments in the history of No Doubt. The band grew up in Orange County and conquered the world. They’ve been through so many things together, and the beauty of the Sphere is the ability to tell those stories in a visual way. You’ll be swept away and feel like you’re experiencing their evolution alongside them.”
