Watch Starmer sign off final PMQs to standing ovationCloseSir Keir Starmer received a standing ovation from his party and other MPs after giving his final answer at his last Prime Minister's Questions.
"To all those in the gallery, whose lives have been changed or improved by this Labour government, and all across the country who struggle to be seen or heard, you are the reason I came into politics," Starmer said during his final statement.
"To my wife and children, I love you. Goodbye," the PM said, before several MPs stood up and clapped for Starmer as he went to shake the Speaker of the House of Common's hand.
Andy Burnham is set to become Labour leader later this week, and is expected to take office as prime minister on 20 July. He won't make his first PMQs appearance until after the summer recess.
