Olivia Rodrigo performs at Lollapalooza Michael Hickey/Getty Images Olivia Rodrigo made a surprise appearance at Pete’s Candy Store in New York City on Sunday night to perform her recent single, “Drop Dead.” The pop singer took the venue’s small stage during its weekly open mic night.
As seen in the short the clip that has been making the rounds online, Rodrigo was joined by a guitarist for a stripped-down version of the track.

Rodrigo released “Drop Dead” earlier this month alongside a music video filmed at Versailles in France. The song is the lead single from her highly-anticipated album You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.
On Instagram, Rodrigo wrote, “I love this song so much!!! It’s the first chapter in the story of ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’ and it makes me wanna skip around and roll the windows down and make out!”
