Connor Storrie is putting his best assets forward in a new short film for Verizon.

Released online today, the film follows the Heated Rivalry breakout as he arrives home to an isolated cabin in the woods (so like, a creepy cottage) hoping to settle in for the night. As he strips off his shirt and lights a fire to unwind, Storrie is suddenly slammed with the sounds of heavy metal music, mysteriously blasting from his speakers. The unsettling noises continue as he tries to run lines while cooking, and he soon hears a phone ringing — Scream-style — with no one on the other end.

Directed by Nia DaCosta, the cinematic spot is titled “Look Behind You,” and increasingly builds tension as Storrie is seemingly trapped in the remote cabin awaiting his horror movie ending. Finally, the actor has had enough, and decides to investigate the strange noises. “I’m not messing around!” Storrie shouts into the air, as he wanders the house with a knife, desperate to suss out the intruder.

Of course, this is a Verizon commercial, so the ending is more Saturday Night Live than M. Night Shyamalan. As it turns out, the mysterious sounds are coming from — spoiler alert — smart-home activations triggered by Storrie’s accidental butt-dials. As the camera zooms in to a close up of the actor’s bulging backside (because there’s a phone in his back pocket), the film declares the actor as having the “Best Butt,” and Verizon has having the “Best Network.”

Cue the smirks. And the credits.

“Look Behind You” marks Storrie’s first brand film, as well as DaCosta’s debut in the commercial brand space. The two first sparked rumors of a collaboration when they were spotted chatting with each other on the red carpet of the Vanity Fair Oscars party.

Verizon says the new campaign underscores the telecom company’s “network superiority,” demonstrating that that “even in the furthest corners of the wilderness, Verizon’s reliability is so relentless that the only thing truly ‘scary’ is the power of your own connection.”

In a press release, the brand hails Storrie as a “phenomenon,” with Verizon EVP and CMO Leslie Berland adding that, “The collaboration and creative process was pure magic.”

While Storrie has been seen in Tiffany & Co. jewels and Saint Laurent outfits on the red carpet, the Verizon clip marks his first official campaign with a mobile carrier and tech brand. “From the concept to execution, this was an incredibly collaborative and creatively fulfilling experience,” Storrie says in a statement. “Verizon is a brand that really understands storytelling and culture [and] working with a visionary like Nia DaCosta took everything to another level.”
