Michael Schneider Warner Bros. Discovery held its annual upfront presentation on Wednesday morning — but before kicking things off, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper took the Madison Square Garden Theatre stage to pay tribute to the late Ted Turner.
After a clip showcasing Turner introducing CNN to the world in 1980 (“for those employees of Turner Broadcasting, whose total commitment to their company has brought us together, today, I dedicate the news channel for America, the Cable News Network), Cooper came out to say a few words about Turner, who died last week at 87.
