Erin Barrier has been promoted to senior vice president of communications for The Walt Disney Studios, stepping into the role filled by Paul Roeder.

In her new position, Barrier where she oversees global communications strategy across The Walt Disney Studios and the company’s various production banners, which include Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures; Disney Theatrical Group; and Disney Music Group. Roeder has been elevated to chief communications officer of Disney.
