“I just read the ‘Fast Forever‘ script by [Michael Lesslie]. It is the best script I have read in decades,” Diesel wrote on Instagram. “I am still crying…”
The post was shared alongside a trailer for the upcoming re-release of the original “The Fast and the Furious” film, which is coming back to theaters on Aug. 21 in time for its 25th anniversary. That film starred Diesel alongside the late Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Rick Yue and Chad Lindberg, kicking off the long-running action franchise after grossing $207 million worldwide (not adjusted for inflation).
