Ventana Sur Sets 2026 Montevideo Dates as Río de la Plata Format Expands

Latin America’s leading audiovisual market returns to Montevideo Nov. 30-Dec. 4, with Uruguay’s ACAU, Argentina’s INCAA and Cannes’ Marché du Film as co-organizers

Ventana Sur will return to Montevideo for its 2026 edition, confirming the Río de la Plata format as the new working structure for Latin America’s leading audiovisual market.

The Marché du Film, Uruguay’s ACAU and Argentina’s INCAA unveiled Monday the dates for the market’s second Montevideo edition. Ventana Sur will run Nov. 30-Dec. 4, 2026, in the Uruguayan capital.

The five-day edition will unfold across several of Montevideo’s landmark cultural venues. They include the national cultural center Sodre, the Cinemateca Uruguaya which will host market screenings, and the historic Teatro Solís.
