Variety has hired award-winning journalist Marlow Stern as Chief Correspondent where he will focus on covering the film industry.
In his new role, which begins today, Stern will write about Hollywood studios and talent agencies, as well as profile leading artists and filmmakers. Stern, who will be based in New York City, will report to Brent Lang, Variety’s executive editor.
“Marlow joins Variety as we are increasing our investment in longform, investigative reporting,” said Ramin Setoodeh, Variety’s co-editor in chief and co-president. “He is a multi-platform journalist who excels at print, digital, video and audio storytelling. We look forward to publishing his many exclusives about the business of Hollywood.”
