In the strongest condemnation ever issued by a UK government, Ed Miliband said it would take the official position that Israel’s occupation of the West Bank was unlawful in its entirety. The sanctions imposed include bans on goods from illegal settlements and adverts for land on the settlements will also be prohibited. Miliband said the measures would take up to nine months to come into effect
