For viewers who always have another series queued up or a movie night planned, a cell phone plan that includes streaming subscriptions can help make the monthly entertainment budget go further. Wireless network providers like T-Mobile and Verizon offer options that pair wireless services with entertainment perks, whether that means access to a streaming platform or discounts on subscriptions.

Streaming bundles remain relatively uncommon in the wireless market, making them a valuable perk when choosing a phone carrier. If you’re already paying for a similar plan with another provider, opting for a carrier that includes streaming benefits is a no-brainer and can help you save on subscriptions you’d otherwise pay for separately.

Networks like Spectrum do not include streaming apps directly with standalone mobile plans, as entertainment benefits are instead tied to Spectrum TV and internet packages. Mint Mobile also doesn’t bundle free streaming subscriptions with its phone plans, while AT&T’s current wireless plans don’t include streaming subscriptions either. Verizon offers a range of streaming subscriptions at discounted prices as add-ons, while T-Mobile stands out as a top option for customers looking for a wireless carrier that actually includes streaming subscriptions in their phone plans.

T-Mobile Includes Streaming Subscriptions as Part of Their Phone Plans

T-Mobile is making streaming a central part of its pitch to wireless customers, with select plans including subscriptions to popular entertainment platforms. Its Experience More 2.0 plan at $85 per month includes Netflix Standard with ads, while Apple TV is available for an additional $3 per month. This gives subscribers a way to watch shows such as Severance and Ted Lasso without paying the full standalone price of $14.99 per month for Apple TV.

For customers who want more included, T-Mobile’s Experience Beyond 2.0 plan for $100 per month adds a complimentary Hulu subscription and Netflix Standard with ads, saving customers $750 per year with built-in benefits. Apple TV remains available for $3 per month. The plan also includes 250GB of high-speed mobile hotspot, which can be useful for streaming on other devices while traveling. T-Mobile advertises the plan as offering up to $525 in annual savings, though actual savings depend on which benefits customers use.

Starting Nov. 5, T-Mobile’s new T-Mix lets customers build a phone plan that fits their lifestyle while adding the entertainment perks they actually want. Across three plan tiers (Standard, More and Loaded), customers can customize their experience with Picks for streaming favorites like ESPN Unlimited, YouTube Premium, Hulu and Netflix. With up to four free Picks changes per year, customers can adjust their plan as their needs evolve.

Verizon Phone Plans Offer Streaming Add-Ons and Subscription Savings

Verizon offers two ways to pair a wireless service with streaming in its customizable myPlan lineup and its Simplicity plan. Customers can add streaming services to eligible wireless plans and consolidate subscriptions on one bill. Available options include Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ with ads, plus Netflix and HBO Max bundles. Verizon lists its Netflix and HBO Max bundle at $13 per month, compared with a combined retail price of $19.98. YouTube Premium is also available for $12 per month, below its listed $15.99 retail price. These add-ons can be worthwhile for households that already subscribe to multiple services.

For movie and TV fans, the right phone plan can offer more than reliable connectivity. Comparing included subscriptions, discounted add-ons and the services you already watch can help reveal whether bundling saves money or simply adds another perk to the monthly bill.
