The opening day of the 2026 event was red flagged after a competitor crashed into spectator in RamseyThe first week of the 2026 Isle of Man TT has seen a series of high profile crashes, including one which injured eight spectators.
That incident, which saw a solo motorcycle competitor crash into a crowd on the exit from Parliament Square in Ramsey happened during an untimed practice session on the opening day of the event.
That was followed by a red flag incident at Brandish near the end of Tuesday evening's sidecar qualifying session, which left Maria Costello and her passenger Shaun Parker injured.
The session was also cut short on Wednesday evening following a crash at Crosby Leap involving the outfit of Ryan and Callum Crowe.
An initial review of that incident led to the sidecar class being suspended for the rest of the 2026 event.
