Getty Images Timothée Chalamet and Selena Gomez are teaming up on “Not Alone,” a new alien-themed animated film from Illumination, the studio behind huge franchises like “Despicable Me” and “Super Mario Bros.”
In his animation debut, Chalamet will voice Joe, an “introverted rocket mechanic who lives a quiet life alone,” according to the announcement, which was made out of Annecy Animation Festival. Gomez is set to play Fran, a “brilliant astro-botanist who is developing the world’s first-ever plant-fueled rocket.”
