Tiger Woods has been charged with driving under the influence after striking another vehicle and rolling his Land Rover in Jupiter Island, Florida on Friday, authorities said.

During a news conference held by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, an official said police responded on Friday to an incident involving a pickup truck pulling a pressure cleaner trailer and a Land Rover driven by Woods. Woods had rolled his vehicle after clipping the backend of the trailer, said the official, and was arrested for DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test — Woods refused a urinalysis, according to police.

Authorities said that Woods showed signs of impairment and that he underwent “in-depth roadside tests.” They said that he explained his previous injuries and surgeries and that he was cooperative during questioning. Woods took a breathalyzer test and “blew triple zeros,” per the Sheriff’s Office, but refused a urinalysis. While Woods and the other driver involved did not appear to be injured, the official noted that the incident just occurred hours ago. Woods is currently being held for at least eight hours before he can be released on bond.
