This New Iron Maiden x Timex Watch Features a Light-Up Cyborg Eddie. Here’s Where to Preorder It Early

40 years after their last collaboration, Iron Maiden and Timex are linking up again to celebrate the band’s 50th anniversary.

The new limited-edition Iron Maiden x Timex watch takes inspiration from the duo’s rare 1986 timepiece. Like the original, the new watch features nods to Iron Maiden’s sixth studio album, Somewhere in Time.

Inside the watch’s 40-millimeter black stainless steel case is a blue Cyborg Eddie head on a black dial with the words “Somewhere in Timex” on the inner ring. When you press the crown, the Indiglo backlight turns Eddie red to match the watch’s second hand. The in-fill on the hour and minute hands also features lumination for visibility. The strap, meanwhile, is made of a rugged textured rubber with quick-release spring bars if you want to swap it out. A reliable Quartz movement keeps the watch running free, and the 100-meter water resistance lets you take it just about anywhere.

The watch is available for exclusive pre-order here for 24 hours before full preorder becomes available May 21-27. The watches are expected to ship Dec. 7–18.

The Timex collaboration is part of Iron Maiden’s expansive 50th anniversary celebration, which includes other merch, a documentary called Burning Ambition, and the massive Run For Your Lives World Tour. The tour arrives in North America in August for 12 stops. Some of the shows are sold out, but you can find tickets to all of them on resale sites like StubHub and Vivid Seats.

As for Timex, the new Iron Maiden release marks another big collaboration for the 172-year-old brand. Recent “Co_Labs” include timepieces with media properties like Space Jam, Harry Potter, and Peanuts, as well as link-ups with fashion and jewelry labels like Todd Snyder and Jacquie Aiche.
