There are rewatchable shows, and then there’s Sex and the City. Since it premiered on HBO in 1998, fans have consistently consumed the episodes over and over, dissecting them like a voicemail left after a bad date. To claim yourself as a Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, or Samantha is to declare intentions, goals, and values in a single utterance. An entire cottage industry has risen around the show; it’s inspired walking tours, built a cupcake empire, and spawned multiple movies and even a spinoff show in the decades since.

But to go back to the original six seasons is to travel back in time, to a New York City free of content creators, when it wasn’t cool to wait in line, when the cosmos flowed freely and brunch was still thriving. When Fridays were for dates, boys were for fun, and girlfriends were soulmates.

How much of those good times do you really remember? Take this quiz to find out.

Seems like you could use a little time at the coffee shop with the girls — if you’ve been watching the show at all lately, it’s probably the neutered version on syndication. Remember, if there’s no sex, it’s not the real SATC
