Universal Universal has released a new trailer for Christopher Nolan‘s “The Odyssey.” The latest glimpse into the world of Homer’s Greek epic shows Matt Damon’s Odysseus doing battle with the Cyclops, as Robert Pattinson’s villainous Antinous tries to take the throne of Ithaca.
The trailer debuted first on Monday night’s episode of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
In addition to Damon as the titular seafaring hero, the film also stars Anne Hathaway as Odysseus’ wife, Penelope; Tom Holland as their son, Telemachus; Pattinson as Ithacan suitor, Antinous; Zendaya as goddess of wisdom, Athena; and Charlize Theron as goddess of witchcraft, Circe. The enormous cast also includes Lupita Nyong’o, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie, John Leguizamo, Himesh Patel, Will Yun Lee, Mia Goth, Jimmy Gonzales, Elliot Page and Jovan Adepo among dozens of other stars depicting characters from the epic poem.
