Cimarrón, part of international film-TV giant The Mediapro Studio since 2023, is taking charge of the studio’s Latin American operations. The news coincides with the launch of its offices in Brazil. Frequent collaborator Andrés Gelós joins as creative producer while Catalina Porto assumes the role of creative producer for Cimarrón in Colombia and Mexico.

Said Marta Ezpeleta, CEO of The Mediapro Studio: “Cimarrón is one of our most strategic assets in Latin America. Its unique identity, top-tier relationships and solid track record allow us to take a decisive step in our expansion across the region.” The move comes as the company restructures its international set up, with the departure of some key executives in recent months, including Daniel Burman, Ran Tellem and Laura Fernández Espeso.
