Republic Taylor Swift is fond of the number 13, but here’s betting she also considers the numeral 100 lucky, too. She can now celebrate having 100 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, for all of her albums combined, further extending a record among solo artists that will be difficult for anyone to catch up with in our lifetimes.
She hit the magic 100 mark by having “The Life of a Showgirl” hold on at No. 1 for a second straight week, bolstered by the release of ax extended edition. This bonus-filled version with four new tracks, titled “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore,” counts alongside the original edition for chart calculation purposes, so “Showgirl” is officially enjoying a 14th week at No. 1.
