Taylor Swift’s something blue theme for her glitzy wedding to Travis Kelce on Friday became an Empire State Building lit blue over the New York City skyline.

The glow up came as the power couple tied the knot as part a multi-day Madison Square Garden wedding celebration, reportedly stretching from Thursday night into Saturday morning. Leading up to the event, Manhattan’s popular skyscraper on its website said the light blue sparkle glow up was “in celebration of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at Madison Square Garden.”

That continues a tradition of the Empire State Building and its Art Deco façade lighting its spire to mark major occasions in the city. That includes the spire and its LED lighting system set to glow red, white and blue on Saturday to mark the 4th of July celebrations.

And for Swift, the blue color is a shout out to the Old English rhyme, “Something Olde, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, A Sixpence in your Shoe,” meant to offer protection to a bride on their wedding day.

A giant lighting system also announced the marriage of Swift and Kelce when a note appeared on a video screen on the exterior of Madison Square Garden. The “JUST&T MARRIED” sign popped up shortly after 730 p.m. ET on Friday. The city’s been abuzz for days in the lead up to the nuptials, and numerous high-profile celebrities were spotted heading into MSG earlier on Friday.

The wedding itself took place at 5 p.m. ET on Friday, with the reception set to run until as late as 4 a.m. ET on Saturday morning, according to a copy of a city permit obtained by the AP and details provided by the police.
