Many consumers stick with their phone carrier not out of a sense of loyalty, but because switching can be tedious. T-Mobile is looking to streamline the process with its 15 minute switch and keep-and-switch promos; both are designed to make it easy to change carriers without having to trade in your device. Here’s what to know about seamlessly switching carriers with T-Mobile.

The 15 Minute Switch offer lets new members switch to T-Mobile online without a store visit. You can switch online through T-Mobile’s site or through your phone using the T-Life app. The carrier has offers for a new phone with or without a trade-in. You can get the iPhone 17 Pro with a trade-in that’s in any condition, and new phones are also available without a trade-in when you add qualifying plans. The iPhone 17 is available without a trade-in through the Experience Beyond or Better Value plan, while Android users can get the Samsung Galaxy S26+ with an Experience More or Experience Beyond plan.

New members who are looking to keep their existing device can switch without a trade-in. T-Mobile will also cover the cost of switching; the carrier will pay off your phone with a virtual prepaid Mastercard of up to $800. T-Mobile’s site or the T-Life app lets you verify whether your device is eligible for the 15-minute switch offer using your phone’s IMEI, which can be found in the phone’s settings. You can also verify if you’re eligible to keep your phone number by checking online through T-Mobile’s site.

In addition to easily switching, T-Mobile offers plenty of perks for members, including free Netflix for members with qualifying plans, off-the-grid coverage with T-Satellite, and travel perks like discounted stays at hotels. For music fans, T-Mobile includes exclusive access to concert tickets, plus perks like discounted tickets at participating venues.
