Swiatek suffers shock defeat as Fonseca sets up Alcaraz clash in Miami

World No 3 Iga Swiatek suffered her first opening defeat in 74 WTA tournaments as she was beaten by world No 50 Magda Linette at the Miami Open on Thursday. 

Linette came from a set down to beat the Polish six-time Grand Slam champion 1-6 7-5 6-3 to reach the third round, where she will face Alexandra Eala.
