Courtesy: Star Trek Original Series “Star Trek” fans are going to have no shortage of ways to celebrate the iconic sci-fi franchise’s 60th anniversary.
Variety has learned exclusively that a whole suite of fan events, screenings, and partnerships are rolling out across the globe as part of the landmark anniversary, which is officially on Sept. 8, the date in 1966 when “Star Trek” first premiered on television.
Among the many events planned for the anniversary, there will be a free outdoor screening of the original series episode “The Man Trap” and the new “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” episode “Orders of Magnitude” at the Autry Museum in Los Angeles on Sept. 8. That event will also feature talent appearances, food trucks and giveaways.
