©Sony Pictures/Courtesy Everett Collection “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is getting a re-release with new footage, Variety has confirmed, although details about what’s in those new scenes remain under wraps.
“Brand New Day,” which launched July 31, was the box office story of the summer. The superhero blockbuster has grossed $2.49 billion at the domestic box office, making it the third highest-grossing movie of all time behind 2009’s “Avatar” ($2.92 billion) and 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame” ($2.88 billion) and ahead of 2022’s “Avatar: The Way of Water” ($2.3 billion) and 1994’s “Titanic” ($2.2 billion).
