Is Spider-Man more powerful than all of the Avengers combined?

There’s certainly a case to be made after “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” captured a mind-boggling, record-setting $360 million in its domestic debut, supplanting the all-time opening weekend benchmark of 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame” with $357 million (not adjusted for inflation). The final tally for “Brand New Day” landed above Sunday’s estimate of $355 million, which at the time ranked as the second-largest debut of all time.
