'South America' Comedy Central The rift between the billionaire class’s old-money elites and their nouveau riche tech-world younger brethren is no match for Butters Stotch on this week’s South America (née South Park), as the new episode, “Billionaire Weenietown,” marks another return to form for the Comedy Central mainstay after two seasons spent in Trumpland.
Butters, the perpetual fifth wheel to the show’s four main characters at South Park Elementary, is belligerent as the episode opens. He treats a class assignment, a presentation on his “happy place,” as an opportunity to publicly rail against Weenietown, a new menace and legitimate threat to the quiet, podunk Colorado town we’ve followed for nearly three decades.

Why is sweet Butters so irate? It’s the tech billionaires, of course, and the new data center in his backyard that keeps cutting into his peace, which is, of course, the soothing effect of watching episode after episode of Dr. Pimple Popper. The billionaires in question here are not the Elon Musks or Sam Altmans of the world. They are little anthropomorphized penises who can’t stop sharing their opinions on podcasts (“Who went on the Joe Rogan podcast last night?”), and watching these dicks deal with their infighting is a hoot.
As the episode marches on, a B-plot has Butters’ parents blaming the MMR vaccine for turning their son into a “libtard” (who is also trans). The gag works at first, then grows a bit repetitive. Meanwhile, Butters teams up with a small but determined billionaire woman penis (somehow). A penis problem-solver, she negotiates a deal for Butters and all of Weenietown to get rid of the younger set in town. After the two find a way to jettison the problematic penises, the young boy learns that the young billionaire set really does suck.
If last week’s season debut of South America represented a return to form for the beloved, long-running show, this episode is the second half of a one-two punch. The show is now firmly grounded in its titular town and bringing back fully Butters-centric episodes, which are always welcome among the series’ superfans. But creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone had a final trick up their sleeve.
As the credits ran, viewers saw the return of A.I. Donald Trump. Recall that Season 27 included a phony Trump campaign ad featuring a desperate, dehydrated Don walking through the desert, only to find his penis talking to him. Now that talking penis gets its own send-off after the episode follows the president into the bathroom, concluding with his penis finally finding freedom from a very confused president. The White House has not yet commented.
