Robbie Kruithoff, a filmmaker and investor, and William Nobel, a writer and producer, have launched Wrong Turn Productions, an independent studio that will develop and produce movies for a global audience. The duo says they will focus on making “entertaining” independent films that are “engineered for profitability.”
The new venture is currently co-financing “Queen of the Falls,” an upcoming feature film starring Pamela Anderson and Guy Pearce, in partnership with Pedro and Agustin Almodóvar’s El Deseo, Infinity Hill, Frutacine and Maneki Films. They are also attached to Philippe Parreno’s first narrative feature “Riverrun,” starring Charlotte Gainsbourg, Zoe Saldaña and Vicky Krieps, as well as Richard J. Bosner’s “Devoted,” starring Mena Suvari, Skeet Ulrich and Elizabeth Marvel.
